California Privacy Notice
Last updated: 2 August 2026
Additional disclosures for California residents.
Scope of this notice
This notice supplements the Privacy Policy for residents of California, and is given under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA). It describes the personal information the site collects, why, and the rights California law gives you over it.
Personal information collected
In the last twelve months the site has collected the following categories of personal information, in each case directly from you or from your browser:
- Identifiers — name, email address, postal address, and IP address, when you place an order, register, or leave a comment.
- Commercial information — the titles you have ordered from the house.
- Internet activity — browser user agent and the functional cookie data described in the Cookie Policy.
The site does not collect sensitive personal information as California law defines it, and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under sixteen.
Purposes and disclosure
Personal information is used to fulfil orders, operate the site, detect spam, and answer correspondence — the purposes set out in the Privacy Policy — and is disclosed only to the service providers who make those purposes possible: payment processors, delivery carriers, and the automated spam-detection service applied to comments. It is retained no longer than those purposes require, as described in the Privacy Policy.
No sale or sharing
The house does not sell personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and has not done either in the preceding twelve months. It uses no advertising cookies and offers no personal information in exchange for payment or other consideration.
Your rights
- To know — to request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you.
- To delete — to request the erasure of personal information, subject to the exceptions the law allows.
- To correct — to request the correction of inaccurate personal information.
- To non-discrimination — the house will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise a right, write to info@libro.org with the subject line “California Privacy Request”. The house verifies requests against the details it holds (typically the email address on the account or order), responds within forty-five days, and accepts requests made by an authorised agent with written proof of authority.
Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information
Although the house does not sell or share personal information, California residents may register a request all the same by writing to info@libro.org with the subject line “Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information”. The request is recorded and honoured should the house’s practices ever change, in which case this notice will change first.

Questions about this policy may be addressed to the maison at info@libro.org, or by post to LIBRO, Via Monte Napoleone, Milano, Italy.
