What the Buy Now action means, and who is responsible for what.

What Buy Now means

Some works in the Library are curated by the house but sold by their publisher. These carry a Buy Now action that opens the publisher's own page in a new tab; the work page says so beneath the action, naming the publisher.

Who does what

  • The house chooses the work, writes its record, and stands behind the recommendation.
  • The publisher takes the payment, fulfils the order, and owns carriage, returns, and service for it.
  • Prices shown in the Library for such works are indicative; the publisher's page governs.

Buy Now routes pass through the house's own redirector, and some are commercial relationships. A relationship never buys a place in the Library: admission is by the catalog's standard, and the record says what it says regardless of who fulfils it.
